Islay Subsurface Ltd originated from Islay Petrophysics, founded in 2010 by Iain Whyte to offer petrophysical support to oil and gas operators and their associates. Since then, the company has assisted various operators, from small-scale projects to large onshore and offshore endeavours.
In that past few years we have become a group of highly skilled Subsurface Subject Matter Experts with a average of 25 years experience across the team.
Our diverse team of consultants covers well planning, formation evaluation strategy, tendering services, petrophysics (operations studies, and cased hole analysis). Iain has carefully selected ‘World Class’ consultants who share our commitment to delivering top-notch services to our clients. At Islay Subsurface, we deliver a comprehensive range of Formation Evaluation (FE) services, including formulating an FE strategy, tendering well/analytical services, making well execution decisions, and integrating post-well data and analysis. We focus on enhancing value, operational efficiency, and providing precise technical work. Our Petrophysicists specialize in Clastics, Carbonates, and Unconventional rocks, while we also have experts in Pore Pressure, Fracture Gradient estimation, and Geomechanics.
